Notes from Dr David Hamilton
The nervous system responds to every thought. Quantum Healing goes within us to the atoms and waves of energy. We know these waves change and we now know that your thoughts can affect these waves.
Dr Hamilton background was designing tablets for Astra Zenica for Cardiovascular Disease. He noticed the extraordinary high placebo effect on testing patience. 75% of people who took the drugs got better and over 60% got better on the placebo tablet showing the power of the mind on changing energy in the body. It was this placebo effect that encouraged him to change what he was doing to the power of the people rather than the power of the tablet.
Further studies showed greater success from Panadol than paracetamol, simply because its more expensive. In our minds more expensive = better mindset. Viagra uses a brain connection emotional neurological response and was named so people would link it with Niagra … powerful flow, fluff, energy etc. The difference between the best and the worst is a mindset.
An optimist tends to live 7.5 years longer than a pessimist. Inflammation happens internally. Many pessimists have inflammation.
Cardiovascular Diseases and hostility. Inside our arteries we have soft tiles that are spongy. One of the reasons we have hardening of the arteries is hostility….. Coronary Arterial Calcification/Arteriosclerosis. Relationship coaching is of great benefit here. Studies have been done on how couples interact. The hostile aggressors, where daggers of anger and resentment appeared showed very high levels of Cardiovascular Disease. They took into account both diet and the environment but hostile actions to others mentally and emotionally reflects on hardened arteries.
Brain like dough. The front of the brain muscle is stronger in people that meditate. If there is activity in that part of the brain, then you are using the muscles of that area. When we think of compassion we have neuro plasticity. The brain is like dough, constantly changing…neuro plasticity…..SO, great thoughts give the brain longevity. Longevity means mindful based stress reduction. Blood samples were taken before and at the end of meditation classes. They found 1561 genes were impacted so meditation actually effects the DNA—Genomic Counter Stress Reduction. They found that meditation actually slowed down the aging process and has a positive overall effect on the mind and body.
Harvard Study 1. Two groups of people. One group exercised their right hand only. Test were done on the area of the brain that links body and brain connections over a period of 5 days. Growth efforts grew over 30-40% in the brain. The next group imagined just exercising the one hand over the same period of days in their mind only. The results were the same and by the 5th day they could not distinguish the difference.
Harvard Study 2. One group exercised their little finger only 15 minutes per day for three months. They showed a 53% improvement in strength in the little finger. The group that did the same exercise in the mind only got a 35% improvement in strength in their little finger.
Findings. Mind training is now used by top performance athletes. Mind training not only trains the mind, but moves out like tenticles to all the cells and muscles.
Stroke Victims, Spinal Chord Injuries and Mind Training. With imagination sending the same signal as the actual exercising 4 researches demonstrated this with stroke victims. The got the stroke victims to visualise/imagine using their impaired affected area over and over again one hour per day over six weeks. There was a much greater improvement in this group. Spinal chord injuries showed similar results.
How Does It Work? The Pre Motor Cortex at the top of the head, sends signals to the Motor Cortex. The Motor Cortex does not know if the message is physical or mental. Happy people attract happy people because mirror neurons copy emotions through the autonomic nervous system response. Action Observation teaches us that by watching someone else, the mirror neurons copy behaviour. The brain does not know where it came from but copies the effect eg. When a baby is being fed and opens their mouth, all the people around the baby have their mouths open.
Brain neurons have tenticles that reach out and make it happen. The brain tends to do things the way we think and that effects us at a cellular level….a peptide level…..through strings of amino acids. Oxytocin has 9 amino acids. Insulin has over 200 amino acids. Neural peptides can move out of the brain and imprint on every cell in our body that it has a relationship with. The peptides resonate with certain cells, SO neural peptides affect your whole body at a cellular level.
Cells. Cells look like an egg cracked open on a plate. The yellow yolk represents the DNA. Peptides act on the clear/white part of the egg/cell and vibrates messages to the DNA.
YOU CANNOT DISENTANGLE YOUR MIND FROM YOUR BODY. Both foods and thinking are impacting your body at a cellular level. When you fully understand this you get to realise that YOU can affect wellness or illness, success or failure. Your mind can make you well or sick. Chemicals are produced by thoughts and send out kindness, compassion, love OR hostility. You do NOT need to feel powerless. You can change your thoughts and change your world.
Visualisation. Everyone visualises what they are doing beforehand, whether they do drugs or sport, illness or wellness. Some people with cancer visualised chemo acting like packman eating the cancer away. They visualised the radiotherapy acting like lightening and burning the cancer away. When you look inside your body in a meditative state we have the ability to change the perception of how our body works. We can look inside of us through muscles, cells, protons, neurons, electrons, atoms and we can mentally affect that and change our body at a cellular level. The capacity of the mind to heal the body by switching perceptions is amazing and can be done through visualisation of the waves of energy.
Quantum Field Feeling is David Hamilton’s technique, which is similar to the Quantum Physic techniques we use in Master Prac NLP. David takes it to another level. We can actually change medical conditions as a structured wave. By putting an imaginary pebble in the wave we change the waves. We can visualise the waves changing to change the old picture we had of the waves to a new picture. You then TRUST that your cells and body have changed. You can do this to yourself or to someone else with their permission.
Colour Makes a Difference. Blue tablets given in a study showed 66% effect. Pink tablets had a 25% effect. Both tablets were a placebo.
The Power is not in the technique it’s in you. YOU ARE THE POWERFUL ONE. The mind is always entangled to the body. As you change your mind you change your body and thus your results.
